The library has multiple rooms in the adult wing that can be reserved by patrons. All uses and reservation requests are subjected to the policy which can be viewed here. Please see reservation instructions below for each individual room.
Study Room 1
This room can accommodate up to eight people. It has a white board- and markers and erasers that can be provided by library staff, or patrons can bring their own erasable markers. Tables are modular and can be reconfigured to accommodate patron needs.

Study Rooms 2-4
These three rooms can accommodate up to 6 people. They all have white board- and markers and erasers that can be provided by library staff, or patrons can bring their own erasable markers.

Rushmore Room
This room can accommodate up to 10 people. It has a white board- and markers and erasers that can be provided by library staff, or patrons can bring their own erasable markers. Due to the historical nature and value of the items maintained in this room, users must be at least 18 years old or be accompanied at all times by a supervising adult. No food is permitted in this room. Drinks must be covered with a lid.

Taber Room
The Taber Room has a limit of 15 people. Due to the historical nature and value of the items maintained in this room, users must be at least 18 years old or be accompanied at all times by a supervising adult. No food is permitted in this room. Drinks must be covered with a lid. The Taber Room is not available on Tuesdays or Thursdays.

Conference Room
The Conference Room has 6 modular tables with 12 chairs. It can be reserved by nonprofit organizations at no charge with preference given to Madison based organizations. A refundable cleaning deposit of $25 cash or check will be required if food is served. Users of the space are responsible for collecting their deposit following the booking, providing the room is left in acceptable condition and they are eligible for a refund.

Chase Room
The Helen Whitney Chase Auditorium accommodates up to 80 people. It offers a projector with a large screen, sound projection equipment, DVD player and CD player. There is a small kitchen and accessible bathrooms. The room also features a Steinway Model B Grand piano. The room is available for use by nonprofit and for-profit organizations. There is no charge for Madison nonprofits and there is a suggested donation schedule for out of town nonprofits, for-profits and student recitals.
