The Library’s Helen Whitney Chase Auditorium was the gift of Burr Chase in memory of his wife. He also donated a baby grand piano which makes the Auditorium a popular site for concerts and student recitals. Technological features include an LCD projector with a large screen, DVD player and CD player. Library-sponsored activities including art exhibits, music programs, lectures, films and children’s activities are often featured. There is a small kitchen and accessible bathrooms.
The Chase Auditorium is also available to Madison nonprofit organizations at no charge. There is a fee schedule for out of town nonprofit organizations, for-profit organizations and student recitals.
A smaller conference room in the Local History Section is also available for use by area nonprofit organizations and for profit organizations. Contact the library administrative office if you are interested in booking this space.
