Inspired by the writing of Louisa May Alcott, compose a short story (between 1,000 and 1,500 words) using one of the following prompts:
- Write a story that focuses on a relationship between siblings
- Write a story in which societal issues/expectations play a key role
- Write a story about unrequited love
This contest is open to anyone in grades 4th through 8th. Stories should be works of fiction.
Deadline for submission is February 28th at midnight. Submissions should be emailed to childrens@madison.mainlib.org.
