Madison Public Library Covid-19 Updates
The Madison Public Library is committed to the safety and well being of our patrons and staff. Interlibrary loan delivery has been suspended throughout the state due to the current Covid-19 crisis. We have enhanced our digital content thanks to the generosity of many of our vendors. We will remain fully closed as of March 18th. We will remain closed while the Madison public schools are closed. At this time, we have cancelled all programming (including Mini Courses) through June 30th. We will re-evaluate as needed. We are committed to serving our patrons as much as possible during this closure. We will update this page as needed.
If items are due, will I receive a fine?
No. There will be no fines issued while the library remains closed.
Can I pick up my holds?
No. The interlibrary delivery service has been suspended throughout the state. Holds that are listed as ready for pick up will be held until we reopen. Please disregard any pick up date.
Can I return my library items to the outdoor bookdrop?
Yes. We are accepting returns through our bookdrop starting on May 18th.
If I have any questions about digital resources, is there any way to contact a staff member?
Yes. Staff members are monitoring social media and department emails to help answer any questions you might have. You can email the Youth Services Department at Childrens@madison.mainlib.org and the Adult Services Department at Reference@madison.mainlib.org.
