Chase Auditorium

Chase Room

The Library’s Helen Whitney Chase Auditorium was the gift of Burr Chase in memory of his wife. He also donated a baby grand piano which makes the Auditorium a popular site for concerts and student recitals. Technological features include an LCD projector with a large screen, DVD player and CD player. Library-sponsored activities including art exhibits, music programs, lectures, films and children’s activities are often featured. The popular Drew Minicourses co-sponsored by the Friends of the Library and Drew University are held in the Auditorium. There is a small kitchen and accessible bathrooms.

The Chase Auditorium is also available to Madison nonprofit organizations at no charge. There is a fee schedule for out of town nonprofit organizations, for-profit organizations and student recitals.

A smaller conference room in the Local History Section is also available for rent to nonprofit and for profit organizations.
